Thanks Ron,

It doesn't look on the surface to be right however I'd like to delve a bit more.If they had more than one child Albert may be it.They may also be relatives.There is so little to go on and EWENS is quite uncommon.

I can remember my dad telling me he got in a cab in Brighton during the war and got talking.It turns out the cab drivers name was Ewens.He told my dad that it was very rare and that there was a likelyhood that my mum and him were related somewhere along the line.

Only anetdotal, but interesting.
I'm not sure where we go from here.Can you identify the girl, my grandfathers half sister "Min" at all.
