You have a John EWEN of Bighton near East Strafford d. 1630
married 1. to (unknown)with one child John, 2. to Elizabeth with children 5 children : William, Peter, John, Elizabeth and Ann

Can you report the descent of those male children with their respective spouses and sons, especially of the John of the first marriage where you have the line down to the 1900s?

I am looking for an EWEN, b. about 1700 d. before 1734, who
married (possibly in London or Berkshire) a Susannah MYLAN b. 1709 in Warfield, Berkshire. Susannah was a widow in 1735 when she (supposedly) married Nicholas GARLING in London. Perhaps along the descendant line of John or of any of the other sons we may identify this particular EWEN.
There is a slim chance but it it worth the effort tp try.

In the same GenForum Caroline Mardin reports that a John EWEN marries Amy HOOKER 1593 and have a son Peter, as well as Roy Marden reports that John EWEN is chistenized 1580 and d. 1630

You all possibly refer to the same John EWEN, but the only conflicting issue is :
John has son Peter during his 2nd marriage, with Elizabeth
(as reported by Caroline)
John has son Peter with Amy HOOKER m. 1593 (as reported by Roy).
Question therefore : Are Elizabeth and Amy HOOKER the same person? Was her name perhaps Amy Elizabeth or so?
