Hello, Jerry - Yes, we are talking about the same Timothy Ewen. However, I've not yet found the 1795 Clark Co., KY tax records notation. I'll look for that. Can you send me a copy as an email attachment? What I do know is that Timothy and his bride, Sarah Starnes, were listed in the first U.S. census (1790) in Luzerne Twp., Fayette Co., PA. After that: Timothy was not listed in the 1792 tax roll for Clark Co., KY.

He was not present in the 1800 PA census.

"Timothy Ewing" was on the Clark Co., KY tax list in 1800 - the KY 1800 census records were burned by the British in the War of 1812

Clark Co. Census records are not available until 1830.

Montgomery and Clark Counties are adjacent to one another.

There are 2 Ewings listed in the 1810 Montgomery Co., KY Census - neither one is Timothy- pp. 372 (Robert) & 373 (Putman).

1810 Census for Indiana Territory was burned by the British in the War of 1812.

In the 1820 Indiana Census there is Walter Ewin, 17 men named Ewing, and 1 named Ewings. No Timothy.

Where was Timothy between 1800 and 1820? Where was he during the War of 1812?

Timothy died 12 Feb 1786 in Fountain Co., IN.
