Re: Ewen, 1700s East Stratton

Could there be any link between 'your' John Ewen and 'my' John Ewen?My John lived in Bighton, not far from East Stratton and died in 1630.He lived with his second wife, Elizabeth and had 5 children with her: Elizabeth, William, Peter Ann and John.He also had a son John with his first wife, whose name I do not know.

I have the descent from this John through to the early 1900s.The family moved to West Tisted, Hawkley and Petersfield, Hampshire.

Oddly enough I live less than a mile from East Stratton despite being born more than two hundred miles away!
