The answer to Elizabeth's ancestry I think is not known with complete certainty. Elizabeth and Philip Henry Eyer lived in what is now Hamilton Twp, Monroe Co, PA. It was part of Northampton Co until 1836. Citing Rothrock Genealogy p205 by Henry Shirley Rothrock and John Adam Eyer, Schoolmaster -- by pastor Fred Weiser, PA German Society Vol 14 1980 p 471, it appears likely Elizabeth was a daughter of John Rothrock (born 1748-50 died 1834) and wife Elizabeth- maiden name unknown. This John Rothrock and John Adam Eyer (Philip Henry's older brother and noted fraktur artist and schoolmaster) had a series of property transactions in 1796 in Upper Mt Bethel Twp, Northampton Co, PA where both families lived. John's younger brother Samuel was also involved in these transactions but being born between 1766-1774 is considered too young to be her father. Any info on her is of great interest to me. I am a great-g-g-grandson. I had her gravestone replaced at the cemetery behind the Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church near Stroudsburg, PA about ten years ago.
