Cassa Aldridge
I received the following message-
My ggg-grandmother was Nancy Aldridge Britt, born in NC. In searching for her father, deeds were found for a Thomas Aldridge, Greene Co. NC who passed away in 1793.
I'm certain we have this much correct, as her name, her husband's name and her brother's name appear repeatedly on deeds for this Thomas Aldridge, dec 1793.
I just can not find a Thomas Aldrige who died at that time, in NC, with the correct children of the right ages.
His children were born in 1770-1780 and I'm pretty sure I have all their names as they were listed in a will from 1827 Greene Co., NC by one of their brothers.
I have the names of those mentioned in the will:
Gracy Aldridge m Henry Barrow Houston Co., GA
Polly Aldrige never married lived w/Gracy in Houston Co., GA
Elizabeth Aldridge m Wm Grace She lives next door to Gracy in Houston Co.
Nancy Aldridge m John Britt moves to Houston Co about 1829
Cassa Aldridge m Kinchen Faircloth lived in Wayne Co., NC
The sons would be John Aldridge who died before the 1827 will was written.
William, the writer of the will
Thomas who may have also moved to Houston Co., GA.
If there is any informatiou you can provide, it would really be of assistance.
Sincerely
J Richardson
