Re: Faulkinbury's from Anson Co, NC & SC
My GGGG-grandfather, Jacob Falconbury, Sr was born in 1757 in Anson County, NC and migrated to Casey County, Kentucky (Walltown area) in 1804.Later (1828 I think) he moved on to Decatur County, Indiana, although most of his children stayed in Kentucky. It is through his son, Jacob Jr, that I am descended.
I wonder if there is a connection between Jacob Sr, and your relative Pitman Warner Faulkinbury?
In addition, there was a 2nd Lt. James Falconberry who died at age 23 (I think) in 1864 at Bloody Angle. He was from Lancaster County. He would have been born in the early 1840s.Could he be a son or nephew of Warner Faulkinbury and Hulda Miller?
These may be long shots, but it seems to be an interesting coincidence to see the NC/SC and Indiana locations between the two families.Incidentally, I was in Mitchell, Indiana a few weeks ago transporting my son to and from a summer camp at Spring Mills Bible Camp.
