Judith Stanton Fall daughter of George and Betty (Worster) Stanton was married to a Samuel Fall.
Is anyone studying George and Betty (Worster) Stanton’s family? George died before June 27, 1796 when his will was probated. I believe several of the chldren moved to Bartlett, NH before 1790.
George lists his wife as Betty his children as my s George the other 1/2 of my est at 21 dau Molly, w of Thomas Stevens dau Eleanor, w of Elijah Stanton dau Judith, w of Samuel Fall, s Isaac my dau Joanna, w of Jacob Goodwin
I have no proof but I believe this George to be the son of Benjamin, Sr and Eleanor (Ricker) Stanton. Considering the ages I’ve found for the children George had to be born around 1730–1735 which is in the age range for Benjamin and Eleanor’s children?
There is a great deal of incorrect Stanton information showing some of Benjamin and Eleanor’s children as the children of the younger Benjamin and either Eleanor Jones or Mary Ricker. Benjamin III was married to first Eleanor Jones and 2nd Mary Ricker. However he was born in 1723/24 so it is impossible for him to be the parents of George who I’m estimating to be born Abt 1730 or my William who was born in either 1730 or 1737 depending on which information you believe.
I have just discovered reading the old census information for 1790, 1800, 1810 and 1820 that there was a SamuelFall in the Bartlett/Hart’s Location area of NH.Along with several Stanton’s who could have been Judith’s brothers and sister. In 1790 Isaac, Samuel Fall (who was married to Judith Stanton), Elijah (who assuming it is the same one was married to Eleanor Stanton) and a Samuel Stanton were all there. I’m wondering if it is possible Elijah and Samuel were sons of Benjamin and Eleanor’s son Isaac. We have never found any children of Isaac’s.
In 1800 we still have the same men there.
History of Carroll County by Georgia Drew Merrill lists several men who signed a petition in Bartlett in 1795. Among these was a John Worster (? Related to Betty) “isick” Stanton, and Samuel Fall.
My question to all of you is does anyone have any further information regarding this part of the family?
