I have information about the Fall family coming from the line of Benejah Fall.I’ll give you a short run down and then you can let me know if this is what your looking for.I have the info on who he married, etc at home and I’m at work, so it’ll be sketchy.
As far as I know (and I’m trying to track his birth certificate), Benejah was born in 1805 in Amsterdam NY.He moved to Ann Arbor Michigan.Had several children. His oldest, William Tibbet, went on the gold rush of 1849 (a 49er).He went to Ca. by way of boat and returned by horse back.He never hit it big, but when he returned he moved his family and parents to Kansas in 1856.Kansas was pretty wild back then!!There is an old family grave yard with the family buried there.
Wondering if you might have run across the symbols on all of their gravestones. There is a large weeping willow draping down over an obelisk.
The family was a part of the land grab in Oklahoma, but lost the land (we think to gambling).Eventually, they moved up to the Nebraska/Kansas border. My husband was raised in Mankato Ks, which is North and West of Salina Ks.
I have lots of stories, some pictures, and records dating back as far as the revolutionary war. Some of them, of course, sprout off into different names – however, it’s all interesting.
