The name Fallang is a place name. It comes from a farm in Norway.Actually a couple of farms since there is an "upper" and "lower" fallang farm and each has a small lake connected with it. The more modern spelling is Falang as somewhere along the line they dropped one of the l's. There is a Falang vei or Fallang way or road that runs by the farms. This can be seen on an earth google map. The old Norse word for young horse was fØll which our english word foal comes from. the old Norse word for meadow was eng. Thus FØlleng became Fallang. Young horse meadow farm or foal meadow farm would have been the original meaning. Anyway thats how the story goes.
