Re: James FARR and Elizabeth FARR Early 1800s So. AL
Chris, I am late answering but since no one else did,I will say that George Phillips was a Loyalist in the Revolution who left GA for East Florida where he served the British cause. His son, John Phillips migrated to Sumpter Co., AL where he died in 1845.George died in 1798 and his widow, Isabella (Elizabeth) remarried Wiseman Walker. They and their children died at Ft. Mims. Her children by George were not there, however.George's daughter, also Elizabeth (Anne?) married James Farr but he died in 1816.She then married Owen Sullivan and migrated to MS. where she died before 1850 since she i s not the spouse living with Owen Sullivan at that time.We are still working to establish George's relationship to Charles, Sr. of Wilkes Co., GA who died in Clarke Co., AL abt 1836, approx. 86 yrs old.His son, Alexander, b. 1801, GA is my g-g-grandfather.He migrated to Sumpter Co., AL, Jasper Co., MS, and finally, Rankin Co., MS where he died.None of this tells you what you want to know.
