Looking for death dates for Nathan Farrar and his wife Susannah Brock. They were living in Sumner, Oxford County, MAine in the 1850 census and 1860 census. The widow, Susannah Farrar, was still living in Sumner in the 1870 census... but not in the the 1880 census. They are both buried in Wayside Cemetery in West Paris, Oxford County, Maine... but there are no dates on their gravestones. I have not been able to find their death records in Sumner or Paris records. Nathan was born 16 Sep 1789 in Buckfield, Oxford County, Maine... a son of David Farrar and Judith Stoddard. He was married on 3 Jan 1819 at Buckfield, Oxford County, Maine to Susannah Brock, born 10 Feb 1800in Buckfield, Oxford County, Maine... a daughter of John Brock and Susannah Crandle. They had at least 8 children: . Caroline A. Farrar (1822 - 1912) + sp: James Pinkham (1824 - 1899) . Orison Farrar (1823 - 1823) . Orissa Farrar (1824) . Frederick Augustus Farrar (1827 - 1907) + sp: Polly Tuell Buck (1834 - 1909) . Hezekiah Stoddard Farrar (1828 - 1888) + sp: Florinda Cox (1835 - 1920) . Betsey Farrar (1833 - 1913) + sp: Elliot Brock (1830 - 1866) . Lucinda A. Farrar (1836 - 1894) + sp: Greenleaf G. Dow (1838 - 1920) . Judith Ann Farrar (1840 - 1930) + sp: Addison F. Bowker (1830 - 1918) + sp: George Washington Long (1833 - 1900)
Does anyone have any family bible records or the like that gives their dates of death? Nathan in the 1860s and Susannah in the 1870s? I will try to the the Oxford Democrat newspaper for that time period, but it is a long shot whether or not I will find death notices for them.
