Hello Jacqueline...I have just found your message (2003) in Genealogy.com about the Farry family.
My g-g-g- grandparents were James Mcguire 1797 and Catherine Farry born @ 1797. In the 1841 census they were inDrumcrow North, Killeshandra, County Cavan with their 7 children, all born in Killeshandra. They emigrated to Conneticutt and then to Iowa...Clayton County.
I am convinced James(Maurice) Farry married to Mary 1821-1895...is related to my Catherine Farry. In 2 of the Iowa Census...children of James are listed as living with my James Mcguire and some of his grown children. I think James Farry may be Catherine's brother....or at least some relation to her. I found James Farry first in Chickasaw County...there was also a Timothy Farry and family living near him...who may also be his brother. Then James moves near Catherine. Catherine's parents were a John Farry and Julia Ellen. Both James Farry and Timothy Farry names their first girl Julia.
I am convinced Catherine is related to James and possibly Timothy.
I you have any information..I would very much appreciated hearing [email protected]
