Faulkners of Cheshire and Lancashire

Can anyone help?

I am trying to trace a James Faulkner(Lancashire), beleived to have been born about 1817 in Manchester. He married Priscilla Faulkner(Cheshire) in 1845 in Hulme. Her father was william and his was John Faulkner, I suspect that his mother was Elizabeth Medcalf, and that they were married in Manchester Cathederal in 1810.

Can anyone shed any light on either side on the family or confirm that James' mother was Elizabeth Medcalf.

Any information would be gratefully received.
