John,

Sorry, I missed the correction about Mary Richmond. We had just gotten back from vacation and I was racing through all the e-mail our son saved for us! I have been collecting Faunce data for years, and every time I can add to my database it just makes the puzzle a little clearer, some times !

I do agree that Fally is probably a women’s name. I have only encountered a Fally one other time that was connected to a Faunce and that was a nickname to a middle name.

Do you know if Joseph Taylor was called Captain due to military serve ? If, so there might be records about him. He may have come to Ontario Co.,NY because he received land for his services .

What little I know about the Codding family is in Ontario Co. NY. And that George Codding had deeded land in 1827 ( Probated deed ) to Mary Codding ( wife ? ), John Taylor ( in-law ?), and to the state of Connecticut. And in 1825 again to John Taylor. I have not examined those deeds.

Larry
