I do not know she was a widow. That is only a speculation on my part. Since the Faunce families of the Dartmouth area are so well documented, it makes me wonder if she could have been a Faunce by marriage. In three other cases, when I could not find a woman under her maiden name, it turned out to be that she was a widow. We need to keep searching for answers.
