My website is in its infancy. The photos I took of the Jean Pierre Faure/Judith Bingli home (later called the Sublette Tavern) have not been authenticated. The owners were away. I simply followed the directions given me by the Espicopal minister at the Manakin Episcopal's sister church -- which is about two miles further down 711 (Huguenot Trail) from the Manakin church (and Huguenot Society library) heading west. The structure certainly looked authentic enough. I am 6'3' tall -- the top of the door of the original structure (there have been additions added since the 18th century)reached by chin...Before I distribute any pictures, however, I will contact Darla Sublette who has her own historical photos of the Faure/Bingli home and have her compare them. When they are indeed authenticated, I will post a note. The 6x7 frame negatives are quite nice and I will send copies to interested individuals -- possibly through Charlene Binet, the librarian at The Huguenot Society of the Founders of Manakin in the Colony of Virginia 981 Huguenot Trail, Midlothian, VA 23113.
