Joseph Faust - 1824 to 1905 - Middle Tennessee

My great-great-grandfather was Joseph E. Faust (born August 5, 1824 in Smith/Wilson County, TN) who married Mary Matilda Kerley (born January 7, 1838 in Smith County, TN).I believe Joseph E. is the son of Joseph Foust who was born in 1781 in NC and moved with his family to TN.I haven't been able to confirm this, however.If anyone has information on this, I would greatly appreciate the help.
