What all I have above is just about all I have. I have no idea WHO he is descended from. I am not even sure who the father of James born 1842 (according to the death card) is. He was suppose to have been born in Ireland. I know he married Ellen (have also seen others with spelling ofHelen and Nellie) in Wisconsin. I have that the parents of Ellen (who was born in Wisconsin), were born in Ireland.. James and Ellen had Thomas b. 1879 Nebraska, Esther, Michael and Julia.. but have heard there were more children. James could have been the James age 10 that came over from Ireland on the "Patrick" arriving 24 Dec. 1851. My husbands grandfather was Thomas Fay b 30 Dec 1879 Brown Co., Pine Twp. Nebraska, he was a railroad man he died 15 April 1966 Spokane Wa. he married Maud E. Fisher born 1878 Iowa her father was born in Ohio. They had 7 kids.. I have info on 4 of them.. Melvin Sr. b. 1908, Earl b @1906/7, Harold b. @1910/11, Edward b. @1904/05 (Have found on SS Death Index site Edward Fay b. 23 March 1904 d. July 1966 issued: California, died Arizona. Harold Fay b. 30 April 1910 d. May 1979 issued: California and died Virginia. Earl Fay b. 23 April 1906 d. 27 Oct 1987 Issued: California died California. ) I also found out on my husbands side that his father was once in jail in Montana. He worked as a miner in the copper mines in Butte, Silver Bow Co., Montana and I guess there was some kind of conflict with the mine and workers. This was according to the 1930 US Federal Census. Also on that census there was the following: Fay, Morris age 45 Olga wife age 36 Laverne fm. age 18 Morris Jr. male age 14 Margaret dau 9 Eugene s 8/12 (Just as a note/question, my husband's father is Melvin Laverne Fay Sr. My husband is Jr. so is this possibly where they got Laverne from??) My husbands father was also a Mason.
I guess what I am hoping for is someone who is connected to one of the 7 kids.. all brothers I have been told. I hope to find out WHERE in Ireland they came from and always hoping to find more relatives to talk with and meet. . I hope someone says HEY..I KNOW THAT NAME.. and I can get further on it. We want to go to Ireland.. but I don't have a clue of where to even start looking there for his name. His family stories all say they are from Ireland.. not the French Fay's. Curious. How would I know if these Fays are from John of Marlborough? And what area are those Fay's from? So... I know they went from Ireland to Nebraska to Montana to Oregon/Washington. I would LOVE to fill in more information and get back to Ireland.
