Among the first whites to move to Leon Community were a group of families which came from the Cotton Bluff settlement north of Fort Crawford in Conecuh County. This group was made up of the Wall brothers, Absolom, Thomas, and Windal, Jr., their nephew, Daniel Dozier, and the of Windal and James Tayor. These families were related by marriage and had strong ties to the Primitive Babtist Church. This group was soon joined by Silas and Shadrick Carter, Littleberry Rodgers, and WILLIAM and JACOB MERRILL. Thus by 1830 there were about twenty families in the area with a population of about 150 persons.
LITTLEBERRY ROGERS/1808-1880 was my G-G-Grandfather. Do you have any information on his son Patterson (Patison) Rogers (Rodgers) (Roggers)?
