Mr. L.P. Featherstone helped found my home town Winnie, Texas.He was the president of the Gulf and Inter-state Rairoad.His secretary was Dee Normandie,The town was named for Fox Winnie, from Newton Kansas who was a contractor on the RR.The name Winnie, Texas was filed in 1895.
