Fahrenbachs of Cincinnati,Oh
Hi: I just found this forum. I think we have a connection. My husband is related to the Fahrnbach's of Cincinnati. The farthest we have back is a Joseph Fahrenbach. No info about him though. Childrens names were cchanged to Fahrnbach
I probably have a little info to share but don't have it at hand. I have however posted bits and pieces as I found it on the "Farbach" forum. You might want to check there.
There were so many spellings used. When folks arrived in this county, they were afraid to correct it when their names were spelled wrong. Afraid they would be sent back if they were disagreeable. I do have to agree, it is a tough name to get others to spell right and even harder to pronounce.. Later. Eva
P.S. Just a few days ago, I received my copy of Kentucky Explorer and saw the name of
Fredward Fahrenbach. I believe it said he was
an artisan, restoring a church to its original design. This took place about 1882/1883 in Grayson County,Ky. This is in an article about Annie Rush Boone who was 114 on Feb. 10, 2001. The story has to do with her familyand the church was St.Augustine Parish and the roof and much of the original interior had been destroyed by fire.. There is no other reference to the Fredward Fahrenbach.
