With your little bit more info I have found the connection!Yeah!!!!!!!!I have found Megginson in my Megginson/Feirn family tree.Yes, I show he was born in 1821.He was Megginson Feirn and was the brother of George Dewsbury Feirn who was my father's paternal grandfather.I do show Megginson was married to Myra.I show Megginson and Myra had Sarah, Jane, Alice and John and they were born at Aberford, N. Yorks..I guess this John is Amy's father.I show he was born in 1865.Is that your great-great-grandfather?I don't have any info on John's children so can't come on down his line, but I can go further back on the Megginsons if you don't have that info.
Also, your mention of Barnetby-le-Wold rang all kinds of bells with me as my father's mother's side all came from there - the Beeston family.I know Barnetby well as we used to visit my great aunts there. The Beestons were organists at Barnetby for generations!
So it looks as though Amy's grandfather and my father's grandfather were brothers, so you and I are definitely related!!!!!!How exciting!!Where do you live?
