I don't have an Edna Gephart, but my Grace Gephart was born Apr 1899, in Ohio, to Fred V. (or Frederick Valentine) Gephart and his wife, Ella Ruse or Creed.Fred was a brother to my great-grandfather, August Gebhard (my branch used a different spelling). When Fred died in 1945, his obituary mentioned a daughter named Grace "Ferndon."I found an SSDI record for a Grace Ferdon born 14 Apr 1999, which is why I think she is my cousin.
Fred and Ella lived in Hillsboro County, Ohio and were apparently divorced between 1900 and 1910, when Fred disappears from the census enumerations. He went to Franklin County, Kansas, where he died and was buried.Ella moved to Ross County, Ohio, and died about 9 months before Fred did (it's mentioned in his obit).
Fred had at least 10 children, one of whom was named Edith.I suppose it's possible that one of the other daughters had the second name of Edna; if so, I have nothing on that.Fred also had a half-sister, Emma Gephart, who married a Kramer, but they lived in Indiana. The Edna you are looking for might, I suppose, be Fred's granddaughter.I have precious little information on his descendants, so anything is possible.
If you can make any sort of connection, please let me know.Fred was born in Sept 1862 (the 1900 Census says 1863) in Germany, and came to the U.S. with his parents and siblings in 1872.I have some information on his parents and grandparents, if you find that would be helpful to you.
