Re: Agnes Ferguson from Scotland

TO: Margaret Rex:I found your McDowall inquiry while looking for ancestry information on my great grandmother, Jessie McDowall McKinnell. I trace her ancestry to Samuel McDowall and Agnes Ferguson, but through a different son named Charles McDowall, who was born 29 May 1769, who in 1825, married Helen Paterson, born 1801,(32 year age difference!) and who managed to father nine children before his death on 16 January 1837 (some before they were married).Data on this Charles is found on a redstone grave marker in the cemetery in the Kirkinner Church of Scotland (located just to the southeast of the church building).
