H.S. Fergusson,Smith Co.Tn.Census

Has anyone got any information on the H.S.Fergusson listed on the Smith Co.Tn. 1830 census. Believe his first name to be Hubbard S. Smith, and may be listed in Warren Co. in 1838 as H. L. Ferguson , The Ferguson spelling varies in several places.
