Re: James Fern/Sarah Bowler NY in 1820

My grandfather John William Fern was born in Burton-on-Trent which is very close to Derby.His father Hohn was born around 1865 and the only information I have is that he was born somewhere near Basford, Derbyshire.There may be a connection, but I am not too sure.
