Amos Fernald b. abt 1785

What branch does Amos Fernald b. abt 1785 and m. 1807 to Abigail Sanborn of Hampton Falls NH belong to?

They lived in Gilmanton, Belknap, NH. And had several children. I found 2 so far. Ransom Fernald b. 1818 and also Mary b. abt 1828 m. Horace Lovett or Levitt. There was a daughter born abt 1808, she was 16 in 1824.

Amos is the proverbial skeleton in our family closet.
Apparently he had an affair with his house servant, Mary Wadleigh, she bore at least 2 children by him and 2 more that died at birth. But tragic events happened upon her son, Alfred Fernald, b. 31 July 1819 who was subjected to unfathonable cruel abuse at the hands of Amos and his family, leading to his death, before the age of 5, on 8 Apr 1824.

The atrocious deeds of Amos are recorded in a book, United States Criminal History by P.R. Hamblin published in 1836 by Fayetteville, Mason and DePuy printers.
