According to the FERREE Family Tree, the father of this Jacob is Philip (m Leah DuBois). It also explains that there is confusion over 2 Jacobs and their wives: Barbara Carpenter and Susan Carpenter.I have another source that shows ONE Jacob 1728-1792 m Susan Barbara Carpenter 1738-1775, then Jacob m Mary (unknown).This may explain why FTM shows 7-8 children.Send e-mail if you want further info.Char
