hi,april.yea my dad had a 1941 piper cub model j-4,first year for side by side seating.it ended up in a barn in 1973,taken apart,and all but engine and some instruments disappeared.i am lookin at the gauges on a shelf in my room as i write this.we still have pictures of the plane.i could fly the plane at a very early age.my dad told me when i was 2,we were flying,he was lookin out the left window,all of a sudden the plane went crazy,scarin him to death.i had grabbed the other stick,and said'let dickie do!i could fly the plane by time i was in kindergarten.lol.give me a call 727-564-3108,or e mail at [email protected] should talk more.cya.
