"Thomas Field is of English Descent. He owned extensive properties and slaves (84) in what is now Anderson County, South Carolina. He is mentioned in the "Adams Family Papers" part of the Ante-Bellum Southern Plantations. He lived in Pendleton District, South Carolina. The Field’s were a large prominent family."
