I have your Ann Fildes (10 Dec 1783-21 Jun 1863) in my tree. There is a tree which was published which shows the Fildes of Manchester genealogy and your ancestors are on there. Ann's parents were William Leach and Thomas Fildes. The tree I have goes back a further 5 generations to a Roger Ffyldes b 1578.
Ann and Mary Fildes are not related by blood.
Mary Fildes was born Mary Pritchard and married William Fildes. I am directly descended from them.William and Mary are my 4g-grandparents. I see you have elected to hide your email address so I cannot contact you directly but would like to share info with you.I have not categorically linked my tree to yours, I am also waiting for the breakthrough!! Someone who chooses not to answer my emails any more have some info on how Mary Fildes links to the published tree. She said that William Fildes who married Mary Pritchard (Mary Fildes of Peterloo fame) had a father called James Fildes and this James was your Thomas Fildes brother. This would make your Ann Fildes b1783 the cousin of William Fildes who married Mary Pritchard. Clear as mud, I know!!
Anyway, as I cannot contact you, you will need to contact me now - you can see my email address but my email address will not accept emails from Yahoo, Hotmail, etc so you will have to use a company one....
I have lots of info to share with you, and would like to add your tree to mine if that's OK.
If my contact who liked the trees together was right, this would make you 6th cousins with my mother.
