Do you think this is William Cake Filgo, Sr and not his son William Cake Jr.?I had found this in my research and written it down before. The 1830 Limestone Co.AL Census shows 1 male 70-801 female 50-60, 1 male 10-15 (Edwin Rainbolt??? Look at orphan court records below.)I know this is William Cake Filgo, Sr.in the Census Record.
From Orphans Cour Minutes 1824-1830shows William Filgo appointed guardian of William Hill and Nancy J. Hill infant children of John P.Hill, under age 14.Filgo gave $12,000 bond with William Lantroop and Jacob McEwen his securities. Is this Junior or Sr.?
I also have a copy of Orphan Court Minutes in Limestone Co. that shows (Feb. 28, 1831) on the application of William Filgo it is ordered that he be appointed guardian of Edwin Rainbolt Infant son of Joseph Rainbolt ? under the age of fourteen years....I assumed this is Sr. because of the 1830 Limestone Co. Al Census.
I also have Nancy Filgo marrying John Bodery in Morgan Co., AL on March 24,1823 Lic. I found this in Marriages of Morgan Co., Al 1818-1896 Minter and Valley Leaves Morgan Co Sept. 1981.
