I would imagine that we are likely to be connected to the same Finly/Finlay group. I have some early connections.
Do you know how far you go back on the Finlay side in Carnmoney?. The couple mentioned in my inquiry had
a daughter Mary Finlay who was born about 1724 in Carnmoney and married into the Bigger family of Carnmoney
to William Bigger in 1746. They had a daughter Jannet Bigger who was born in May 1764 andwho married Hugh Giffen also of Carnmoney on 31 Dec 1786. They had as dau Maria Giffen who was born on 7 Nov 1790 in Carnmoney and who married John Rodgers also of same on 27 Mar 1814 in Carnmoney Presbyterian Church
and had Jannet Rodgers who married ? a William or a John or an Andrew Quirey there/ She was born in 1819.
I have many many surnames in Carnmoney including the famous McKinney's who married into the Giffen
family and Rodgers. I would be most interested in who you are connected to there:? I connect to the following
surnames in Carnmoney: Giffen, Rodgers, McKinney,Bigger, Douglas, Corsby, Quirey)all variants) Finlay and
Fulton, mathewson, Agnew, Martin, Parker and Hughs.Walker, Dick, Johnson, Robinson, and intermarriages
to:Henderson, Archbold, McKinney, Stewart, Crymble, Farquahr, Kirk, and others to numerous to mention.such
as Smyth.
