I am "trying" to take descendants of this particular Fitts line past the "Fitts or Fitz in America" book by James Harris Fitts published in 1897 and bring it to the 7th generation, or approximately the 1940 census.
NOTE: This does not include descendants of the Walker Fitts family out of Mecklenburg Co., VA, as they are NOT related (thank you DNA testing that I need not pull any more hair out)
If your Fitts line traces back to Henry of Prince George/Dinwiddie, VA, or his sons: Henry of Warren Co., NC or Oliver of AL, and you would like to share or compare notes, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This includes all female lines of Brame, Fussell, Twitty, Harris, Martin, Rogers, Dukes, Ripley, Arrington, Crawford, Milam, Comegys, Pegues, Drake, Palmer, Day, House, etc., etc., etc. plus two lines via female slaves.
Since the forum will no longer be interactive after September, please e-mail me directly.
