John E and Peter Fitzpatrick Chicago 1890s
I am looking for information on my great-great uncles - John E Fitzpatrick was a police officer in Chicago in the late 1800s. He was promoted to Lt. He was involved in the Pullman Strike and the Haymarket riot. His brother Peter moved to Chicago from Johnstown Pa after his family was killed in the Johnstown Flood of 1889. He also joined the Chicago police force. Both were born in Johnstown, Pa, the sons of Peter and Ellen Fitzpatrick, who came from Ireland via Liverpool in 1838. They had other family members who remained in Johnstown: Mary Bridges, Rose Grady, James, Margaret Curley, Ellen and Susan. Any information on them would be greatly appreciated.
