I am reseaching this line and would like to exchange information. The "Atkins" river was actually the Yadkin River which was in Rowan Co. NC at the time. The area was considered the far west frontier for over 50 years. This is the place from which Daniel Boone did his exploring.The three Children of Nathaniel and Rebekah who settled here were: Eunice Fitz Randolph (married Gershom Hunt), Ann Fitz Randolph (married her cousin Paul Fitz Randolph) and Samuel Fitz Randolph (married Amey Edwards). My ancestor was Samuel Fitz Randolph,he died in 1816 in Buncombe Co. NC
