Re: Captain George Washington Fitzwater

There were 3 Fitzwater's who came to Nicholas Co. From Rockingham County Va. Capt. George Fitzwater who married the widow Melinda (Foster) Eagle Sept. 11, 1804 in Kanawha Co. and his first cousin's John & Thomas Fitzwater (Twins born Jan.1, 1764 Rockingham co. Va.)) sons of william & Mary Ann (McCaslin) Fitzwater. The Twin Thomas Married Mary Cuhan in 1785 at Brocks Gap Rockingham Co. Va. and his twin John Fitzwater 1st(My Line) married Mary (Polly) Koontz October 20, 1793 in Greenbrier County. I'm not sure which generation of the Fitzwater family you want info on but I have a mountain on the 3 mentioned above. My Line Twin John Fitzwater 1st and wife Polly Koontz had 11 children Jane Fitzwater (Single)- Squire Fitzwater(Single) - Charles Fitzwater (Single) - Charity (Fitzwater) Dorsey - Miriam (Fitzwater) Dorsey - Hannah (Fitzwater) Dorsey - Catherine (Fitzwater) Dorsey - Margaret Fitzwater (Single) - Mary Fitzwater (Single) - Elizabeth (Fitzwater) Grose - John Guy Fitzwater 2nd (My Line) Born March 3, 1811 Nicholas Co. Died August 26, 1862 Nicholas Co.Married Elizabeth (Besty) Wiseman Children Timothy Clark Fitzwater - Lewis Squire Fitzwater - Mildred (Fitzwater) Hicks - Margaret Jane (Fitzwater) Huffman - John Hereford Fitzwater. Mildred (Fitzwater) Hicks is my great grandmother born June 21, 1858 died April 17, 1964 age 105. I have dates birth death marriages - cemeteries for all of the above.
