Re: The Fitzwaters of Ohio
I really do appreciate your help clearing up the confusion.
I just recently turned my attention to my Fitzwater linage and you book sounds very promising. But there's a few questions I like to ask about it.
My Fitzwater connection is through my great grandfather Willam Fitzwater(1841-1916) who died in Butler Co Ohio. Is this William listed in book?
I have seen the posting you have made about him with Linda Boorom, and I noticed that you mention there were records that show that he was the the son of George Fitwater(1819-1945). Are these records included in the book? And how much information is there on George and his father William(1790-1832)?
I also noticed that you had some questions on my great grandfather's connection to Catherine Minnick and the Minnick Family. Your postings with Linda are over a year old, so forgive me if I give information that you have already found.
I found prove that William was Catherine's child in the Obit of Joseph Minnick who died in Warren Co(1855-1920). It lists William as one of his brothers. Frank Minnick(1858-1951) move to Butler County with William and died in Middletown, and was buried in Woodside Cemetery. I having trouble finding out what happen to the rest of the Minnick family. I currently searching Clermont and Brown Counties for their graves, but there is a strong possibility that they might have moved out West. There are census records in Kansas that may prove to be James Minnick, the oldest Minnick Child
Also, I have found evidence that Mary Mahala Fitzwater Fogarty, William's oldest child, made repeated visits to see the Stiles family in Halan county, who were the children of Mary Chesser, Catherine's sister.
