Skiles Flack, son of Samuel Flack and Euphemia Imbrie
I have been doing some work trying to trace Skiles Flack (b.abt 1824 Ohio) who is allegedly the son of Samuel Flack and Euphemia Imbrie - see:-

I cant find him in any of the census records but he is shown in a marriage record as marrying a Martha A Howard in 1848 (Adams County, Illinois):-
Illinois Marriages, 1790-1860
Name: Skiles Flack
Spouse: Martha A. Howard
Date: 4 Apr 1848
County: Adams
State: Illinois

Source: Ancestry.com - 8 Jul 2010
I wont post all the source stuff on this page as its all on the above link at the start.
But in the 1850 Census there IS a Martha Flack (age 20 born Illinois) with 2 Flack Children (Mary and Jesse(male)).
Martha then goes onto marry Jabez Gooding in 1855 (marriage record onsite) - and in the 1860 census, as well as a new Gooding child (Charity) there is also a Lavinia/Levinia Flack (age 8) along with the other 2 Flack children Mary and Jesse.
I dont know where Skiles was in the 1850 Census, but he must have hung around long enough to have sired the 3rd child in 1851/1852. I have to just assume he died around this date.
If anyone else is tracing Skiles and wants to add to - or comment on - my initial tracing of Skiles I would be pleased to hear from you. ESPECIALLY if you have any proof that Skiles actually was a son of Samuel and Effie.
My initial thoughts on 'Links' of his father Samuel to other Flack families of that time can also be found here:-

Comments or suggestions welcome on that too (Its not all my own work I have to say as I use quite a few documents supplied by other people - but I link to them wherever possible.
Thanks for any help
