General Flack Researchers
I currently run a FLACK 'One name Study' website at http://www.flackgenealogy.com/http://www.flackgenealogy.com/
There are two of us who currently do the research. I live in the USA and my webpartner lives in the UK.
I run the website as I understand the basics of HTML, and I research all the American Flack families.
I'm looking for a YOUNGER person who wishes to get involved in keeping the website going (I'm 63 and have a liver problem - I'll write my own obit before I go - so don't worry ..lol)
But seriously - The website is 'free' website aimed at generally helping any Flack researcher.
It currently has a database of 103,000 people - and I spend most of my days 'sourcing' the families as too much copy/paste goes on these days (that's technology for you).
My MAIN concern is that if/when I go it will all be lost.
I know I can copy all the trees to a number of free places like rootsweb etc - but that doesn't preserve all the 'source info' that is attached as 'html documents' to a lot of the trees (thats just the way the TNG Database works).
So if there are any younger (than me) Flacks out there who might like to get involved in running the website then please contact me.
Geez - I hope this doesn't sound too morbid - but I've always been a 'planner' and I'm just covering all bases at the moment.
So if your interested, or want to ask any questions - contact me at [email protected]
I'll try not to bore the pants off you (and I don't bite) - so think about it.
best wishes
Jim Flack
