FLANDERS marriage - Emanuel Co., Ga.
I'm looking for the "needle in the haystack"!
A Flanders man married a lady named Katherine or Catherine, probably between 1812 and 1840 in Emanuel County, Ga. "Katherine/Catherine" married, 2nd, John Chestnutt Sumner, Sr. Katherine/Catherine was born between 1795 and 1800, probably in 1796.(84 years old in the 1880 census) Sumner was previously married to Mary Hogan and they had children up thru 1835.This Flanders man was possibly named Thomas Flanders....maybe not!
All I have found on the 2ndmarriage of John Chestnutt Sumner, Sr. is that he married "the widow Flanders" and the name "Catherine" appears as his wife in the 1850 census and as "Catherine Sumner" in later census' after John died in 1858.
Any FLANDERS researchers out there have this elusive "Katherine/Catherine"???Thanks!
