My husbands family has Flanders who came to the states in the 1600's from Yelling-Hunts England in Huntingdonshire(?)The name is perhaps originally French (Where was Flanders field?)It is also sometimes spelled Flaunders.I know this doesn't get you closer to your family info, but thought it might be interesting.
