Re: Fleming(s), Flemming(s) from around GA, AL, and FL
I don't see how the Joseph FLEMING who was born abt 1879 can be the same one who married Millie _____.In 1910 Joe and Millie are living in Recovery, Decatur, GA.Joe is 55 and Millie is 39.The children living with them are Ed, age 32 and born in FL, Ella L., 16, Mansfield, 14, Ira B., 12, and Ernest, 9.All the younger children were b. in GA.
With Ed being so much older and only a little younger than Millie, he's probably be Joe's son from a previous marriage.
There's a death record for Ed FLEMING b. 30-Nov-1877 in Gadaten Co, FL, d. 27-Sept-1923 in Decatur, GA.Spouse:Maria FLEMING, Father:Joe FLEMING, Mother:Alice FAGAN.
The 1880 census for Decatur, GA has this family:
FLEMING, Joseph age 21 b. GA, both parents b. GA
wife Alice age 18 b. GA, both parents b. GA
son Edward age 3 b. GA
dau _______ age 1 b. GA
Joe's age varies according to which census you look at, but it seems he was born sometime between 1853 and 1860.
I think the son "R" "Arre" and "Ira" might all be one person.
In 1920 Millie is listed as "Miller."Her age in this census is given as 57, making her birth year abt. 1863.Sons Mansfield, "R" and Earnest are living with her.
There's a FL death record for Millie FLEMING, age abt 63, b. Bainbridge, Decatur, GA, d. 3-June-1927 in River Junction, Gadsden Co, FL.Parents were Hiram and Milissa WOOD.
The 1870 census for Bainbridge, Decatur, GA has this family:

Milly age 10 b. GA
Lizzie age 6 b. GA
They are living next door to:
WOOD, Alice age 97 b. SC
