I believe that the Enoch Fletcher referred to in Frances Fletcher's reply is not the person you are seeking. This Enoch was born in Faquier Co. VA December 15, 1776.Thus he was much too old to have served in the Civil War.In fact, he died in 1839 in Pulear, Wilkes Co. NC.I would like to correspond with Frances about this data as I believe some of the generations are mixed.
This is also my family line and I have some of it validated. My line goes James Sr. Esq., Benjamin, Enoch (1st), Berryman, Enoch (2nd), John Wesley, James Clair, then Myself.Neither of the Enoch's above are the one who served in CSA.I believe the Enoch you are seeking is a son of either James Jr., (son of James Sr., Esq.)or one of the other grandsons, John, William, etc. There were several of them.
