I have a general interest in Flintoff/ft as well as following my own line.I have noted the various Nevins Flintoffs as well as the recurring Owens over time; and your posting spurred me to looking again at how this family fit together. This board doesn't allow attachments but if you contact me directly I will send a file showing how I see the family
Frederick Nevins was Ellen's uncle, so brother to Edward Theodore.Ellen's brother was Charles Edward (born 1846) as well as probably an Owen (born 1842) and a sister, Eliza (b 1844).Charles Edward married and had 5 children in Canada.Eliza married and had 1 child.I was not able to find anything more on Owen.
Frederick Nevins had 3 (maybe 4) children; the eldest being Frederick Theodore who then married and had 10 children.
Going back, Frederick Nevins and Edward Theodore were the offspring of John and Ann (nee NEVINS) who married 1802, and had at least 7 children in the Brighouse area of Yorkshire, England. The eldest, John (born 1803), married and subsequently had family in Witton le Wear, Co Durham.Another son of John and Ann was Owen (born 1811) who married Ann ALDER and had children in Barnes/Richmond area of Surrey/London.
Much easier if I can send you my thoughts on a chart, but hope this helps
Andy Kerridge
