G'day Lauretta
I was doing an exploritory search for my family and stumbled upon Daniel Florians post. Danny is my son, so I can fill in a couple of gaps. Unfortunatly, my father (Aldo) is in the early stages of dementia, and therefore finds it hard to remember all names and facts.
My grandfather, Enrico (deceased 196?), was from Treviso (Roverbasso). In the early years of the 1900s he travelled to the US (New Jersy) to live with other members of our family. He returned to Italy for a visit but world war 1 happened and he was drafted. While
there he met and married my grandmother (Carlotta) and never returned to the States, (lucky he did or my branch of the Florian family wouldnt exist now).
Another member of our family, Launa (Loridana?) Florian, married Eddie Kollar of Clifton New Jersy. Both Launa and Eddie are both still alive and would be in their 80s.
There are other members of our family in the States, but I have to wait for my father to become coherent before I can give more details.
Some of my Italian based family are: Luciana (Roverbasso)
Beppi and Alfredo (Congliano)
I will look forward to any reply and it would be nice if we were related.
Thank You
John Florian
