A GENETIC RESEARCH QUESTION FOR FLOYDS

I just typed out a very long message and tried to post it - for some reason it didn't work! Here goes for the second time...
I doubt very much that I am related to most of the Floyds on this forum as my family is now settled in Australia and came from England. Although we have some family in America they are just one family and an off shoot of the English family.
My father does, however, have problems with his knees. My third brother also had problems when he was younger, I seem to recall. We also have a history of back problems, particularly in my immediate family. My father, second brother and myself have all suffered from back problems. We presumed it was due to our height, but perhaps not!
We have another genetic disorder that runs in our family also.I am not sure of the correct medical term, but it basically is a gene that means our blood clots very easily. It has effected my father the worst - he has suffered from several thrombosis' in his legs throughout his life.I'd be very interested to hear if this is also a problem for other Floyds.
While we're on genetics - how is the height going with other Floyds? My grandfather was tall, as is my father (6'2"), my eldest brother (6'1"), my second eldest brother (6'5") and myself (6'0" - tall for a female). Is this a Floyd trait? I'd love to hear back from you all.
