Thanks for the reply. My great-grandmother (Ella Eubanks Floyd) did move back to Ga after my great-grandfathers death, but I can not find any Eubanks in the area to connect with her either. The story of the family coming from MS(any definite area isn't known) was passed down through family, and I did find a ribbon in the old family Bible from MS, that says something about supporting a Southern Mississippi College, part of the ribbon is gone. There are no family members left that would know anything. Its a real mystery. The Floyds are listed in the 1910 Census in Colquitt Co., GA,( and it lists my g-g grandmothers b/p as GA) and after that my grandparents were married and my great-grandmother lived with them until her death in 1934.The big question now, is why they moved to Colquitt Co unless they maybe had some type of relative in the area. Instead of finding these folks they seem to become even more elusive. Thanks again for replying, and if you do ever run across the names I'd appreciate any help.PS__I have wondered if the Floyds may have lived somewhere else and moved onto MS, but I haven't been able to find any of the names in GA(except for 1910), ALA or MS.I guess it would really help if I knew my g-grandfathers name, but as far as I know, his given name wasn't told either. There were very sad circumstances surrounding him and his death, and I guess they just wanted to forget it and get on with their lives.Who knows?
