The only information I have on Sam Floyd is this:
His name was John Sam Floyd, date of birth unknown, had a brother Newton Henry Floyd, b. May 20, 1868 in Sugar Valley Georgia. Newton Henry was my Great Great Grandfather. John Sam was his brother.At one time, he was a Texas Ranger in Lubbock, Texas. I have written for lookups in Lubbock, Texas but never got a response. I feel these are 2 different Sam Floyds. I don't know where he settled, but the rest of the Floyd family settled in the Comanche County, Texas area. They came to Texas from Georgia around 1881.
